My horoscope predicted this would happen

Today I went to Willcox for groceries and other whatnots, so when I went to get gas I asked the guy how much did I have off a gallon of gas with the Doc's rewards card, he told me $3.69 off every gallon up to 25 gallons, so I looked outside to the sign and the price advertised was $3.65 and I was like I will be back.
I went outside called my oldman up and had him bring his vehicle and two 5 gallon gas cans, so we filled up my car, his car and both gas cans and it ended up to 27 gallons and our out of pocket costs was $9.53 I guess with that amount of luck I should have bought a lottery ticket but I didn't because I didn't want to press my luck.

So tonight I checked my horoscope for shits and giggles and this is what it said:

Scorpio (change)
You're the target of attention today -- which may sometimes make you uncomfortable. There's definitely a bright side, though! You should find at least one big offer comes your way before night falls.

For those of you that care: A progress report of my life since August 2013 to (Today) August 4th 2014

I have been through a lot since last year at this time:

1. Filed for divorce in August 2013

2. Found out my mom had stomach cancer I think in September 2013

3. Had to quit a great job at the end of October 2013 so I could be with my mom

4. Moved to Pearce, Arizona (out in the middle of geriatrics ville) in November 2013

5. I was hospitalized for 6 days through Christmas for heart problems, went home with a heart monitoring "Life Vest" that cost $3,300.00 a month

6. Spent New Years alone with family ( I know it doesn't make sense but that was how I felt)

7. My divorce was final on March 28th 2014 (Wife or should I say EX-wife drug her feet)

8. I bought a used nice truck and equipment for the business I wanted to start on April 1st

9. Started a parking lot striping business on April 1st 2014

10. I lost unemployment (claim ran out) on the week of April 15th 2014 so I now was broke

11. Tried looking for employment several times but no one was hiring or they wanted you to work for nothing

12. I started focusing all my time on my business, just trying to find my first job to get the ball rolling

13. My mom finally had her surgery on her stomach July 2014 it was a success and she is recovering well

14. I created a youtube video asking for donations to help with operating expenses for my business and posted it on youcaring.com, gofundme.com, facebook, twitter, google plus and craigslist on July 23rd 2014

15. I am increasingly becoming discouraged to not continue on with asking for anything from anyone due to only 3 people donated money out of 300 people I know since 13 days have passed by.

16. Sitting here trying to figure out what is my step of action for drumming up more business August 4th 2014

So now you are up to date with everything that has been going on in my life since August 2013 so any future blogs I write referring to something you will at least have a clue what I am talking about.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

It has been awhile since my last posting.

Not sure why I decided to continue to write to this blog since no one ever makes a comment or view what I have to say. Anyway it is almost 1 am and I have to get up in like 3 hours for work. I really like my job it is hard work but the people I work with are great. It amazes me how well we all get along and work as a team. It is so refreshing to work with people that don't back stab you and talk behind your back. Actually everyone is straight forward if they have a problem they will tell you. The other place I worked for it was back stab central or what we call being thrown under the bus. I used to joke around by saying hell I been thrown, dragged and ran over by that bus.

I guess that is all for now since I am falling asleep as I type so I better get back in bed.

2/27/12 @1:27 AM PST

Well tonight I watched one of those cheesy low budget movies (Dilemma) from the early 90's and it was really a horrible cop show about this guy (on death row) is the only bone marrow match (in the whole world) for this little girl who is dying in the hospital. Well the Governor of California decides to take this guy off death row and has him transferred to the hospital to donate his bone marrow. Well anyway the guy ends up escaping because not one police officer in the whole movie could hit a broad side of a barn even if the bullets were the size of beach balls. I seen you tube videos that kids made that were better made than this movie. Saying this movie sucked would have been an understatement. Unfortunately with all bad movies you have to watch it to the end so you can crack jokes about how bad the movie is during the movie. One positive thing I would say there was some nudity (breasts) shown. So that almost helped me to want to continue to watch it. What can I say I am a guy and that is how we are wired.

Now onto other things.... I grilled some chicken that soaked in Italian dressing all day and made some mashed taters. I was proud of myself even though my wife kind of rolled her eyes at me because all I did was preheat and put the chicken on the grill and peeled and boiled the potatoes. I even mashed the potatoes well actually I used the electric beater. My wife said I should have used the hand masher but again I am a guy and that is not how we roll. I would have used the blender but my wife hid it from me. Damn she knows me way to well.

After dinner and that horrible movie I was reading a couple of articles on the internet and one article really just made me shake my head wondering if there is any politician in America that has at least a 6th grade math level. Well anyway here is a link to the article:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/dis-united-states-gas-prices-182602059.html

If this doesn't piss you off about how we Americans are being screwed (without petroleum or KY jelly) at the pump and our government is letting it happen then you must be brain dead. I never claim I have all the answers but it really doesn't take a math wiz to figure out that gas prices would go down if we just bought oil from ourselves at $83 a barrel instead of the $106 a barrel we pay now. WOW what a freaking concept, no wonder our government has us bankrupt and trillions of dollars in debt.

Another story I read that the North Korean government has been counterfeiting $50 & $100 bills:
 http://business.time.com/2012/02/24/how-the-u-s-could-pressure-north-korea-tomorrow-quit-the-100-bill/?xid=rss-topstories

Looks like our government has known about it for a few years, here is a link to a Congressional Research Service report by a guy named Dick K.Nanto that was done on June 12th 2009:  http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/row/RL33324.pdf

This guy reports directly to Congress and our elected politicians have done nothing to stop it !!

2/24/12 @11:45 am

Sitting here chewing apple pie flavored gum wondering how they get gum to taste like apple pie and the weird part it really curves my appetite. How is this gum tricking my mind when I know I haven't eaten yet today but after chewing this gum I am not hungry anymore. How is this possible ? I guess I am not suppose to know.

Well anyway I finished 2 final exams last night and I feel I did pretty good on both. I felt like I learned a lot in both classes and now I am looking to next week when my next class starts. I am pretty stoked because this class will be uncharted waters for me.

Now onto other things, I was on Facebook earlier and yes I know that is a shocker. I end up in a debate with this woman I don't even know. The best part was at the end we were both looking for basically the same thing. She was big on environmental issues and I am huge on getting america back to work. We both made good points in our arguments. I feel we need the pipeline and open up drilling in the gulf for american companies. She was more on the impact to the environment if we built the pipeline and drilled in the gulf. I don't know if there is really a right or wrong here but I do know we need to something about getting people in america back to work. We also need our elected officials to uphold our constitution and not walk on it and wipe their feet. There is a reason why our constitution has held strong for all these years because it works. I agree it isn't perfect for everyone but it works and there isn't any other thing written that will replace it.

I have to say when I see the American flag being burned on TV or internet video it really pisses me off. I pray that someone doesn't decide to do it in front of me because god help them they will have a fight on their hands. I just heard about someone burning a Koran so Muslim's in the middle east decides to riot in the streets and chant death to america while burning a american flag. I understand everyone has their own belief in religion but actually rioting and chanting death to america is going way over board for a religious book. I don't see Americans rioting in the streets when some middle eastern burns the bible or american flag. I guess we are better than that. Been told to always be the better person by walking away from a fight or argument but I am tired of being the better person and I am really tired of religion in general. Now I said that because history has shown us that in every war this world has ever seen it has been over religious beliefs or lack of. I am tired of seeing history repeat itself over and over again. Confucius has said "A man that doesn't learn from the past is doomed to repeat it" so when are we going to learn that fighting and violence isn't the answer ?

2/23/2012@ 4 am pst

Not really sure where to start or what exactly what I want to say.

Wondering if I am making the right decisions in life is one of the hardest uncertainties I will ever have to face. Back in 2000 I made the decision to move out to Seattle because I was so sick and tired of the mid-west weather and the people in general. I needed to expand myself and my horizons well I did both by gaining weight and learning new things. Well I gained a new perspective on things (the horizons part) by living alone and being far (2800 miles) away from family.  I know everyone thought I was nuts for moving on the other side of America but at the time I had to do it for myself. Yes, it is crazy to live in an area that has rain 9 months out of the year. My wife complains about the rain all the time saying how depressing it is. I have always kept a positive outlook on things such as rain by saying "I never heard of anyone who has shoveled rain" I really hate snow with a passion and yes that is ironic because I plowed snow for awhile before I moved here in June 2001 before the towers fell on that horrible day I will never forget. I was in my apartment in Kent just south of Seattle. My now wife called and asked if I was watching the news and I said no because I was still sleeping from working a night shift. Watching the horror on television made me feel really scared not for my life but scared of uncertainties of the future of America.

Now in present day America I am getting that scared feeling again and this time I am scared for myself and others that live in a euphoric reality. They feel that the government will always be there for them and unfortunately they have a rude awakening coming. Am I trying to predict when it will happen, well no but I still have that scared feeling that it will happen one day. We need to do so much as a country to prepare but people in general don't want to listen.

This is my list I have gathered from different sources that we must do to strengthen our country.

1. Have money or something that is worth bartering for:
   a. Gold, silver and other precious metals. Also cash.
   b. Booze and cigarettes (for bartering)
   c. Food to feed your family and use to barter for other things you need.
   d. Water fresh from renewable source or at minimum bottled water.
   e. Batteries (all sizes even 12 volt for a car)

2. Have a fuel source for:
   a. Car, truck or whatever you will drive
   b. Heat for warmth.
   c. Gas grill (can be easily converted to burn wood or charcoal)
   d. Generators and have extension cords on hand.
   e. Chain saw, also have a ax and hatchet to split wood

3. Have a way to protect your family:
   a. Own a gun and know how to shoot it for food and protection.
   b. Know how to make simple weapons and what is needed to create theses weapons.

4. Learn how to read paper maps (local and state) do not depend on GPS or cell phones.

5. Create a "go bag" for everyone in your family:
   a. 90 day supply of life or death prescriptions.
   b. Birth certificates, social security cards, passports and drivers licenses
   c. Keep a medical history log for everyone.
       1. Allergies to what foods, plants or anything you might come in contact with.
       2. Diabetes is a big thing to worry about
       3. Stroke or heart attack history is important

6. Create an alliance with your neighbors:
   a. They say there is safety in numbers
   b. Everyone has unique skills
      1. Gardening
      2. Mechanic (car or anything else)
      3. Electronics
      4. Survival and hunting
      5. Cooking on an open fire
      6. Sewing is big for mending or creating clothes
   c. Combine your food supply and resources
   d. Create a neighborhood meeting place

7. Have durable warm clothes and boots.
   a. Forget fashion think carhart or other durable warm clothes
   b. Layer your clothes for warmth
   c. Fresh pairs of socks
   d. Sweatshirts and thermo underwear

I know this isn't a complete list but it is a great start. Please don't dismiss what I have said because your initial thought is that I am crazy. Please take the time to really think about the unknowns in life. Can you afford to ignore the writing on the wall ? When Hell finally breaks loose in America there will be so many people that won't have a clue what is happening. Don't believe me well look at history with Hurricane Katrina victims. When it happens please do what you can to survive because good morals, values and ethics will be thrown out the window.

I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes: "Smile it will only get worse before it will get better"
